After picking out clothing from an old trunk in a friend's home, the "Pill Box" hat and lace gloves from a Great-Grand Mother, classic strand of pearls, a neighbors 1970s prom dress and current but reflecting another era's shoes. Maxine took her best friend (and model for many of her photographic excursions) Elliot down to the Davenport Hotel in Spokane, WA to do a photo shoot in some of the public ballrooms they could find unlocked and sneak into.
The Davenport Hotel has an amazing 100 year history and about 10 years ago was completely and beautifully restored. The girls found a ballroom that had a left over party celebration; glassware, wine and champagne bottles and with nobody looking proceeded to set up for the portrait you see here.
I just have so much joy watching Haylie Maxine develop her photographic skill and can't wait to see where she will go with it... Future... Here comes Haylie Maxine ✈
